Plant Bio

Schismatoglottis wallichii

Native to the rainforest floor in tropical areas of Southeast Asia, we’re excited to bring you this uncommon variegated indoor plant! Our Plant Hunter loves it for the silver markings on the leaves and its relatively easy-going nature. It’s related to Caladiums, but like our Xanthosoma, it doesn’t go dormant in winter so you can enjoy its beauty all year long. As a young plant, it’s a beautiful addition to bright desks and tabletops, but as it grows it grows into a dramatic floor plant.

Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Additionally, exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Grown for ornamental purposes and not intended for human or animal consumption.
